Kristi Burgess
Kristi is the owner of Relate Well Solutions. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, ICEEFT Certified EFT Couples Therapist and EFCT/EFIT Supervisor.
As a couples counselor, Kristi uses Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), which has proven effectiveness to help couples change their relationship pattern and improve their heart-to-heart communication. Clients tell her that they appreciate her warm, optimistic, non-judgmental approach. She has been counseling for 17 years and sees a mix of couples and individuals (about 70% couples to 30% individuals) as well as clients who want to incorporate their Christian faith (about 70%).
As an individual counselor, Kristi uses both Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which are proven methods for anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Clients who choose either of these methods will grow in the awareness of how and why they do what they do as well as grow compassion for themselves. This leads to more openness, freedom, and healing growth.
Kristi holds a Master of Science in Community Counseling and Master of Divinity from Mercer University. She also holds an MBA from Georgia State University. Kristi enjoys counseling clients, supervising EFT/EFIT therapists in consultations, consulting with colleagues, speaking to groups, and designing and facilitating workshops.
